Frequently Asked Questions

Is the headboard really free and full-sized?

Yes! The Chester comes with a floor-standing 54-inch headboard included at no extra cost. It’s a solid, premium-quality piece—not a flimsy add-on—designed to complete the luxurious look of your bed.

What is a divan base, and how is it different from a slatted base?

A divan base is a solid, upholstered platform that offers superior mattress support and durability compared to traditional slatted frames. It provides even weight distribution, reduces mattress sagging, and often feels firmer and more supportive. It’s also quieter—no squeaking or creaking!

Can I choose a different color or fabric than what’s listed?

Absolutely! We offer a wide variety of fabrics and colors beyond our popular selections. If you have a specific look in mind, our customer service team can help guide you through available swatches to suit your vision.

Is the Chester bed easy to assemble?

Yes. The bed is delivered in flat-pack sections that are easy to move and assemble. Most customers can put it together in under an hour using basic tools. Instructions are included, and our support team is always just a call or message away if you need assistance.

Does this bed include storage options?

While the Chester is built on a divan base, it does not include built-in storage drawers or ottoman lift as standard. However, we do offer custom storage upgrades upon request—perfect if you want to add drawers or a gas-lift mechanism for hidden storage.

What kind of mattress works best with this bed?

This bed base supports all standard UK-sized mattresses. Whether you prefer a memory foam, hybrid, or pocket-sprung mattress, the sturdy divan base provides the reliable foundation needed for long-lasting comfort.
